Murmur is a mixed reality art installation by John Grade and Reilly Donovan exploring the arctic formation known as a Pingo. In the arctic permafrost will thaw and refreeze underneath the soil, expanding in such a way to force the earth up. Overtime this expansion creates a little hill that will eventually collapse in on itself. For the Anchorage Museum’s reopening of their Atrium both artists exhibited works inspired by the project they are currently collaborating on. The first exhibition of the project will be in Connecticut in January of 2018 and will travel from there, with its final home being the Anchorage Museum in Alaska.
